Is the food kosher?

Yes. Kashrus is a core part of how we run every trip, from meals on the trail to how we handle Shabbos and davening.

Does my son need hiking experience?

No. Total beginners are welcome, we just want to know where to start, which is why the application asks about any hiking or outdoor experience your son has. Our guides adjust pace and expectations to the group.

Which trip should we apply for?

Trips are grouped by grade: 6th-8th grade trips and 9th-12th grade trips. When you apply, the trip dropdown automatically shows only the trips that fit your son's grade, or you can select "no preference" for first available.

Who are the guides?

Every trip is led personally by our founders, Ezra Kolsky and Dovid Tzvi Daskal, not by hired counselors or interns. You can read more about their backgrounds on the Meet Our Guides section.

What does it cost, and what's included?

Trips are $1,000 per camper, all-inclusive. Once you apply, we'll be in touch with full payment details.

What if my son has a medical condition or allergy?

Let us know on the application, there's a space for it. If your son is accepted, we'll send a full medical form to fill out before the trip so our guides have everything they need.

What happens after we apply?

One of us will personally be in touch within a few days. If accepted, we'll send the medical form, liability waiver, and payment details.

What's your cancellation policy?

Full details are in the liability waiver sent to accepted families. In general: full refund 30+ days before the trip, 50% refund 14-29 days before, and no refund within 14 days of the trip, except if we cancel the trip ourselves, in which case it's a full refund.

What should he pack?

We'll send a full packing list once your son is accepted, so nothing gets missed.
